Mormons: Frequently Asked Questions in More Depth

One of the nice things about blogging is that I can occasionally direct my readers to resources they may not be aware of and probably wouldn't find on their own. Here is one of them: LDS FAQ from Brigham Young University. I don't mean to denigrate the Church's FAQ section on the Newsroom or other similar efforts, but sometimes you just need a more in depth response.

They answer over 400 basic questions about Mormons and our beliefs but with more in depth answers that include references. See the following examples:

Is Mormonism a cult?

What is the history of blacks in the Church?

What is the Latter-day Saint position on separation of church and state?

Was the U.S. Constitution an inspired document?

What do Latter-day Saints believe about God?

What do Latter-day Saints believe a person must do to be saved?

What is the relationship between spiritual and secular learning?

Was baptism for the dead ever taught or practiced in biblical times?
